1. What is a sub-account?
Sparrow allows the primary account to create multiple subsidiary accounts (i.e., sub-accounts). Sub-accounts will be able to share the primary account's identity verification information, receive fund transfers by the primary account, independently initiate trading and investment activities, and have independent access to the Open API.
2. How to create a sub-account?
a. Log in to Sparrow account, click []-[Sub-account]-[Add Sub-account].
b. Enter the sub-account name.(2-32 characters with letters, numbers, or underscore "_" and full stop "." )
c. Click [Confirm] to create a sub-account.
d. The current version supports 100 sub-accounts max.
3. How to login a sub-account?
a. Users need to bind a sub-account to email and set the login password to log into the sub-account on the web portal.
b. Click []-[Sub-account]- [Manage Account] to enter the sub-account management page.
c. Click [Bind] under Account Info to bind the email for the sub-account.
d. After completing the binding and setting the login password, you may log in to the sub-account on the web portal using email and password.
Note: When the sub-account logs in from the bound email/phone number, the default role is the admin of the sub-account.
4. How to relocate assets to sub-account?
a. Click [Relocate] on the sub-account asset details page to enter the relocation page. Only admin and manager roles are allowed to relocate assets.
b. On the relocation page, you may relocate funds between primary accounts and sub-accounts, or make relocations between different sub-accounts.
Note: Admin and manager roles under sub-accounts can only relocate assets from their accounts to the primary account, and cannot relocate assets from other accounts (including the primary account) to their own accounts.
c. Due to security concerns, deposit & withdrawal are not available for sub-accounts at the moment.
Note: It is temporarily unavailable for the manager role of the primary account to deposit, withdraw, or add withdrawal address & account,etc.
5. How to view sub-account assets/orders?
a. After enabling the sub-account, the "Order Management" and "Asset Management" modules will be added to the user center of the primary account.
b. Click [Order Management] to view order information about different accounts.
c. Click [Asset Management] to view asset information about different accounts.
Note: Only roles of the primary account (including admin, manager, and auditor) can view the order/asset information of both primary and sub-accounts. Roles of the primary account (trader) and roles of sub-accounts can only access the order/asset information of the sub-account the role affiliated to.
6. Create OpenAPI on Sub-accounts
a. Use the admin or manager role of the primary account and click [API Management] to view all API keys opened for both primary and sub-accounts. Click [Details] on the right to enter the OpenAPI management page of each corresponding account.b. If you use the admin or manager role of the sub-account, click [API Management] and you can directly enter the OpenAPI management page of each sub-account.
c. On the OpenAPI management page of the sub-account, you can operate actions such as adding/deleting/opening/disabling API keys.
Note: The manager role can only open and disable API keys, and cannot add or delete API keys.
7. How to freeze/unfreeze sub-accounts?
a. To freeze/unfreeze sub-accounts, you can follow the process below:
- Log in to your Sparrow Primary Admin/Manager account, click[
]-[Sub-account].
- Click [Freeze]/[Unfreeze] and complete security verification to freeze/unfreeze the sub-account.
b. The following functions will be affected after the account is frozen:
- All ongoing orders (including CNF Pro Trade) will be automatically canceled;
- OpenAPI function will be suspended;
- Login (including quick login) will be unavailable.
c. The following functions will not be affected after the account is frozen: Current holdings will not be affected, including Dual currency settlement, ongoing transfer, OTC settlement.
